
The Wroclaw University of Economics and Business has received EU funding for a project entitled “Internationalization of the University of Economics: Integrated Program for Competence Development and International Cooperation” as part of the “Welcome to Poland” Program – 2024 call for proposals by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange.
The aim of the project is to increase the involvement of the academic community of the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business in the internationalization of the University by September 30, 2027, through the development of the competencies of at least 88 employees in the field of cooperation with people from abroad and the development of the Welcome Center as a key center supporting relations with foreign graduates.
This will be achieved through the development of competencies of at least 88 employees in the area of cooperation with individuals from abroad, as well as through the expansion of the Welcome Center as a key unit supporting relations with foreign graduates.
The project is addressed to foreign graduates of the WUEB and WUEB employees (administrative, research, research and teaching, and teaching staff).
Activities planned in the project:
- Creation of a database of foreign graduates.
- Preparation of a cooperation offer for foreign graduates.
- Training courses to strengthen the competencies (including language skills) of academic, teaching, and administrative staff.
- Development of the Welcome Center.
- Foreign and domestic short-term study visits.
- Participation in annual international events.
- Membership in the European University Foundation (EUF).
Main results expected from the implementation of the project:
- Enhancement of the competencies of 88 academic and administrative staff members in the field of international cooperation and international project management through training, study visits, and participation in international conferences.
- Maintenance and development of the activities of the Welcome Center during the 19-month duration of the project.
Project budget: 549 806,30 PLN.
Co-financing from European Funds: 549 806,30 PLN.
