PROM – Short-Term Academic Exchange - Centrum Współpracy Międzynarodowej

The Wroclaw University of Economics and Business has received funding from the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) under the PROM Programme – Short-Term Academic Exchange. This program provides a unique opportunity for students, PhD candidates, and academic staff to gain knowledge and experience in an international academic environment.

The program also supports cooperation between Polish universities and foreign institutions, strengthening networks and fostering research development at the international level.

The main objective of the project is to enhance the quality of education and strengthen the internationalisation of the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business through:

Short-term scholarship exchanges,
Building networks of international contacts and cooperation,
Strengthening participants’ scientific competences and research potential.

MOBILITY OPPORTUNITIES

The PROM project supports selected types of international mobility: 30-day research internships and 5-day scientific conference trips. For international participants, only 30-day research internships are available. The project encompasses three main activities:

Recruitment of participants.
Implementation of mobility.
Evaluation of learning outcomes.

The PROM project is aimed at three groups of participants from abroad:

Students,
PhD candidates,
Academic staff.

The project also includes mobility opportunities for students, PhD candidates, and academic staff from the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business. Detailed information for UEW participants is available on the Polish version of the website – HERE.

Participation in short-term educational activities is possible between 1 December 2025 and 18 September 2026.

MOBILITY FUNDING

Participants of the PROM NAWA program receive comprehensive funding, which includes:

Daily allowance – depending on status:
- student: PLN 75
- academic staff/PhD candidate: PLN 125
- a person with at least a doctoral degree or an equivalent degree obtained abroad: PLN 250
Travel lump sum – ranging from PLN 1,000 to PLN 6,500 (depending on the destination country)
Allowance for accommodation and living expenses – PLN 300 per day

RECRUITMENT

RECRUITMENT START DATE: December 1, 2025

Recruitment for the PROM project will be conducted on a rolling basis, meaning you can submit your application at any convenient time during the recruitment period.

Application documents are reviewed by a dedicated Committee twice a month:

on the 15th day of each month
on the 30th day of each month

RECRUITMENT STEPS

Online application – fill out the application form.
Formal and substantive evaluation – The Committee will assess your application according to the rules set out in the project regulations. The evaluation process takes approximately 2 weeks.
Ranking list and decision – candidates will be informed individually about the recruitment results via email.

Notice:

Applicants should indicate an internship supervisor in the application form. If no supervisor is indicated, the University will attempt to appoint one on the applicant’s behalf. Please note, however, that this may delay the evaluation of the application, as the assessment of the internship supervisor is a mandatory part of the process.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

To participate in the recruitment process, please prepare the following documents:
– Internship plan (the template is provided in Annex No. 2 to the regulations),
– Description of expected outcomes for the participant and UEW (the template is provided in Annex No. 3 to the regulations),
– Certificate of English proficiency at a minimum B2 level.

In the case of students and doctoral candidates, the following are additionally required:
– Recommendation from an academic supervisor,
– Proof of student/PhD candidate status.

In the case of academic staff, an additional document confirming employment at their home institution is required.

APPLICATION EVALUATION CRITERIA

The evaluation of candidates will be based on the following criteria:
1. Innovation and Impact of Research on the Discipline – 0-2 points
2. Description of Research Conducted – 0-2 points
3. Planned Participant’s Activities – 0-2 points
4. Justification for Choosing WUEB as the Host Institution – 0-2 points
5. Recommendation from Academic Supervisor/Promoter (only for students and doctoral students) – 0-2 points

Maximum Points by Candidate Group:
– Students: 10 points
– Doctoral Students: 10 points
– Academic Staff: 8 points

In the event that candidates receive the same number of points and the number of available places is insufficient, the order of application submission will be decisive.

Candidates who meet the qualification criteria but are not admitted due to a lack of available places will be placed on a ranked reserve list.
